The dashboard is the place where you can find summaries of information about services and perform actions such as a manual deploy or switching an active commit. These are different for different types of services.
Applications and Docker containers
At the top of the page you'll see the primary information about your application, such as its name, uptime and tags. You can change the name just by clicking on the name and changing it. Use #tags to organize the list of services.
Under the service name you'll see the repository and current commit. You can switch to another commit by clicking on the drop-down menu and selecting another commit.
If you switch to another commit, make sure you've turned off the auto-deploy option. Auto-deploy automatically launches a deploy when a new commit emerges.
To the right of the repository name there is a link you can use to access the service. We provide you with a technical three-level domain that you can use for any purpose. It's accessed via HTTPS, so it's safe to use it for your services. You can also add your own domain in Domain Management.
You can deploy a service manually at any time. This is a great way to clean up your storage and start from a clean slate if your code creates needless clutter in its directory. Hostman will pull the code, rebuild it and relaunch your service.
If something goes wrong with an application and you're not sure where the problem is, you can just reload the container. In certain cases this option can be very useful.
Right under the action bar you can find service statistics charts for CPU, Memory, Network and Persistent Storage.
Static websites and front-end frameworks
These charts are only available for back-end applications and Docker containers. Front-end applications are served using a CDN and do not utilize CPU and memory, so they have no need of these charts.
To the right of the charts you'll see the event log. Click on an event to access the deploy log for the commit. In this way you can see which commits were successful or why they failed.
